Jaime Antunes is a businessman with experience in different areas. He began is career as an economic journalist, after which he launched the first economic newspapers in Portugal, a weekly and a daily, as well as some newsmagazines. He became also a reputed economics analyst for the main TV channels.

 

In 1990, he started his first real estate investment, developing a big office park in Lisbon. Throughout his career he has been involved in the creation of companies, namely in Public Relations (for some of the biggest companies listed in the stock market), Media, Real Estate, Biotech. Real estate became the sector where he as been focused during the last twenty years. As a developer he projected some big projects in traditional housing (more than one thousand apartments), touristic resorts and more recently student accommodation (around two thousand rooms in operation and/or under construction) and senior living. In the past 8 years, the production of solar energy is another area of his portfolio, having already developed and sold solar energy portfolios.

 

Jaime holds a degree in economy by Lisbon ISEG – Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão, and a pos-graduation in financial markets and products, by the Lisbon University of Law, in collaboration with Nova SBE.
