Pedro Antunes is a Founder and Managing Partner at Alea Capital Partners. Based in Lisbon, he is focused on identifying and negotiating new deals, as well as development of new funds. Pedro has been a private investor for 12 years, with exits in the Media, Biotech and Videogames industry. Pedro has experience as Board Member, Chairman of the Board and CEO for some of these companies. In his capacity as a Business Angel, he co-founded two small BA investment companies that helped launch small projects. Additionally, Pedro has been very much involved in his family business, which is very focused on Real-Estate, having experience in the development of several projects, from residential to tourism, with projects totaling well over 250,000 sqm. Pedro also co-founded and managed Andy, a fully integrated owner/operator of PBSA (Purpose Built Student Accommodation), with around 2,000 rooms in Portugal.

 

Before becoming an investor and real-estate developer, Pedro was a Management Consultant specialized in Media and Telecommunications companies and had an international career in Scottish & Newcastle, at the time the 7th biggest beer company in the world. In these, Pedro was able to practice his skills in FMCG, product development, Marketing and processes.

 

Pedro has a degree in Business Management, from the Nova School of Business and Economics with a focus in Marketing, Strategy and HR. He also holds an MBA, with an Energy focus, from a collaboration program between INDEG and Columbia University in NY.
