Roey Shoef

FOUNDER AND MANAGING PARTNER

Roey Shoef is a Founder and Managing Partner at Alea Capital Partners. An Israeli by origin, currently based in Lisbon, Portugal, Roey is responsible for identifying and executing new deals, working closely with portfolio companies as an active board member, and helping to manage the firm. Roey is entrepreneurial by heart and previously co-founded and managed Andy, a fully integrated owner/operator of student residences with circa 2,000 rooms in Portugal, leading and overseeing its various divisions – from investment, through development, financing to operations. He also assisted a group led by ex-Goldman Sachs executives to set-up a small London-based asset management and advised the German asset-manager KGAL on creating and structuring new digital-first investment products.

Prior to embarking on his own ventures, Roey was a M&A lawyer at Fischer (FBC & Co.), one of Israel’s top-tier law firms, where he focused on private equity and venture capital led M&A, mainly in the technology sector.

Roey earned a LL.B (JD equivalent) and a BA in Economics, both from the Tel-Aviv University. During his studies, Roey worked in a Product team in one of the Israel Ministry of Defense’s tech departments. He is an IDF (Israel Defense Forces) veteran, where he served for 4.5 years as Lieutenant in the Paratroopers Brigade.
